About the Position
Staff physician role on the Palliative Care Ward in Vienna with 15 weekly hours. General Medicine with Ius practicandi or specialist qualification in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Neurology is accepted. Experience with advanced incurable diseases is required; palliative medicine training is preferably already obtained or to be acquired shortly.
Work location: Dornbacher Straße 20-30, 1170 Vienna.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide holistic palliative medical treatment, particularly controlling pain and symptoms.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients and relatives.
- Conduct palliative consultations for other departments.
- Collaborate in a multiprofessional and interdisciplinary manner.
- Regularly participate in ward-specific continuing education.
Your Profile
- Completed training in General Medicine with Ius practicandi or specialist qualification in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Neurology.
- Experience with patients suffering from advanced incurable chronic diseases.
- Additional training in Palliative Medicine preferably already obtained or willingness to acquire it shortly.
- Enthusiasm for teamwork, high social competence, resilience, and empathy.
- Independent and responsible working style.
Contract, Organization, and Compensation
Part-time with 15 weekly hours; contract duration and specific start date not specified.
Monthly minimum of 2,765 EUR gross for 15 weekly hours according to the collective agreement, Staff Physician Scheme/Level 1.
Actual compensation depends on education, qualification, and experience; no annual projection provided.
